Imm 008 dependents (Children and Spouse)

So on this form which is filled out by the applicant it says add all family member even if they are not coming to Canada with you. Including your spouse and children. At the end it also says exclude Canadian citizens.

So since I'm the sponsor and Canadian I shouldn't have to enter my information and my daughter is Canadian however It says spouses and children, so another couple filling out their forms said because I'm my applicants spouse she has to add my information as a dependent as well as my daughter.

Is this really the case?


Has anyone put the sponsor and a child as a dependent when they were already Canadian?
