This form is for applicants (not sponsors) to declare children they are not bringing to Canada.

BTW - if you were born in Canada and you gave birth to the child, he is already a citizen and does not require sponsoring. This is true regardless of where the child was born.

IMM0008DEP is required for applicants that have more than five dependents, regardless of whether they are accompanying or not. Five dependents can be listed on IMM0008; any additional dependents are then listed on IMM0008DEP.
