I'm sponsoring my spouse, do I have to fill Schedule A Background declaration?

I'm asking just for clarification. I did fill it out when sending out the application as well as my spouse did, but I'm wondering as the sponsor, am I supposed to fill it out as well? I'm asking cause it wasn't in the checklist. I filled it out and sent it anyways just to be on the safe side, but I'm curious if I was supposed to do it anyways? And if not, would they even look at it?

No, you shouldn't have. Hopefully they will just bin it.

I was asking as on the form, right at the beginning of the page, you have to tick whether you are the principal applicant or the spouse, common law partner or dependent child aged 18 years or older of the principal applicant.. Which I am of my wife of course, but I mean, I am already a citizen and resident of Canada and sponsoring her...
But I filled it and sent it anyways.
