I'm currently working but does my Bad credit report will Affecting me to sponso

Please your Help is needed urgently, last year i lost my job which constituted to my bad credit but have started working since last year july now but still unable to offset my bad credit. My worries is that i want to sponsor my Nigeria Husband to canada but i was told that i must to have a good credit before i can be able to sponsor him. Please Kindly Advice me more about it.

Does this mean you have gone bankrupt? If SO, then it may be an issue.

HOWEVER, if you did not go bankrupt, then you're fine
