I'm applying for a residency permit through my spouse, but I need to go to Canada for a few days. Can I get a temporary visa while I wait for my application, or will it interfere?


Can I apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)?

If I apply for a temporary visa for 24 hours or 5 days, does this affect my application to immigration?


It's actually to transport my pet to Canada with my husband. I can just arrive at the airport and leave that same day to go back to my country.

I already sent my application papers as a wife last year in November and they are being processed. I'm waiting. I would like a temporary visa, but I'm afraid it will stop my process if immigration deems this decision wrong.

ETA - depend on nationality, if on the visa waiver/exempt list, sure, you can do that.

Visa (if not exempt) - sure you can apply and see. Neither of these will interfere with your PR application. May or may not be approved. I don't think will make much difference if you ask for one day or 23 (for example) - usually they're issued for a year or more anyway.

Either way, when you arrive in Canada, you may get asked about your app - just tell the truth, you're coming with your husband.
 
Hello, I see that my country, Peru, is not on the ETA exemption list. Does that mean they wouldn't accept my application? In that case, what do I apply for a transit visa? It's only for 1 or 2 days or hours.

You need to apply for a TRV (not a transit visa).

You do not qualify for an eTA.

Before you can even board the plane, the airlines would refuse you to check-in the flight since you don't have to a TRV.
 
Can I apply for a TVR (visitor visa) while my marriage-based residency application is being processed? I submitted my application paperwork for a spousal residency application in November. This may take 1 to 3 years. In the meantime, can I apply for a TVR to visit my husband and return to my country in 6 months? Won't it interfere with the evaluation process for my residency application?

We already answered your question. Yes, you can apply for a TRV.
