Hey I'm an American and my husband is Mexican, we are currently in the US and he is over here illegal and we are having problems getting him legal because the USA doesn't want to legalize mexicans unless they go back home. But he can't do that, we have 2 small kids together and he is the only one working with out him we would be on the streets. We have been talking to a Lawyer and he said that alot of illegal mexicans have been going to Canada and getting legalized faster then the US. Is that true? And what do we need to come to Canada? Do we need to apply for something or can we just go through the boreder? Please Help!!!
You, as a U.S. citizen can go to Canada any time you want without a visa for periods of up to 6 months - you can't stay for more than 6 months; if you wish to do so, then you must apply for an extension once in Canada. Your husband can't enter Canada right now as it is. Also, you cannot work in Canada without a work permit anyway.
So, since you are a U.S. citizen, your best bet will be for you to be the principal applicant when applying for Canadian immigration outside of Canada under the
Regular Application Process.
But you must satisfy other qualifying factors as well - browse all links from this web link:

You can include your husband and children in your application - read the guide from the link below. When your immigration application becomes successful, they can immigrate with you.
Here is a guide to the Skilled Worker immigration - browse all links:
