May I ask for your opinion when the mother is the sponsor and the baby is born in Canada?
Having a child together does not speed up the process. The couple still needs to include more than that to prove the relationship is genuine. A Canadian might be duped by the foreign spouse, it doesn't matter whether the Canadian is male or female. There are many appeal cases where the couple had a child but still lost the appeal.

However, having a baby together is certainly some evidence the relationship is genuine. In doubtful cases, it might tip the balance in favour of approval. It would probably also lessen (not eliminate) the need for an interview, which will lessen the processing time.
