hey everyone

i have this doubt in my mind, hope some could make it clear...the passport is valid for one more year and we want to send our application asap, hence make the medical exam maybe this month...so, the medicals and the passport will expiry in about the same time

currently we cannot renew the passport, i think it should be valid less than 6 months when we could....let's say if in 6 months we renew the passport, does it mean that we have to re-do the medicals also, even if they will b valid for 6 more months?
i'm just asking cuz i know when we do the medicals we have to show the passport and maybe the DMP will take the passport number etc; renewing the passport will change that passport number and it won't match what they have in the medical file....so i got confused ::)

if u had similar experience pls share :) thank u for ur time

Renewing the passport will have no effect on the validity of the medicals. You won't have to re-do them because you renewed your passport.

thank u RJ, like usual ur answers give peace of mind :-*

just to clarify by renewing i meant changing, getting a new passport NOT writing a different expiry date on the old one (as some countries do ::) )....but i think it will still not affect the medicals

have a nice week :)

You're welcome. Extending, renewing or even changing the name to a married name would not make a difference on the medicals.
