Hello friends,

I did my MBA from the UK in 2011, and I was there for two more years. Return back to my country in 2014 and since then I am working as Business development manager.

Currently, I am planning to go CANADA on student basis. What are the chances to get visa after 6 years of study gap and a UK master degree?

I visited so many consultants but all are advising me not to apply for a student, better to go for EE or PNP. I don't believe that my profile is strong enough to get direct PR. so I am planning to go as the student.

Please advise me what is the best option for me?

If I get the rejection in student visa, Will I be able to apply for PNP or EE later on?

Thank you

If you already have a masters, applying for another masters will raise doubts if you are a genuine student. If you go for a PhD, it should be fine.

Try calculating your CRS score to see if you have a big chance applying for PR instead. I think your consultants say so because you may probably have an edge in the FSW instead of applying for a student visa.

Thank you for your prompt response.

So what would be your suggestion, whether to go for student or EE?

Thank you

Thank you

Depends on your experience and CRS

I did calculate the points and it was 353.

thank you

Can you retake IELTS and get a score of CLB 9 or more?

That's relatively low. Have you considered taking IELTS? getting a high language score boosts the CRS score. You must be at least 400+ to be competitive.

Actually the language English is making trouble for me. I have calculated CLB 7 as per my best knowledge over english.

In my opinion, applying for PR under the express entry is cheaper than a student Visa. As per your situation, achieving a good IELTS score plays a big part in getting an ITA therefore applying for PR. Student visa limits the things you can do in Canada and also a bit expensive and short term. Depends on what your goals are.

You have to spend a lot of money on education and health insurance as a student in Canada. As a PR, you fees will be lower. Take some time, improve your English to CLB 9. I got CLB 9 in all bands on the 5th attempt. I gave one a month since October and got my score in February. I should have practiced but i just kept booking new exams. I entered the pool over the weekend. I saw my score jump from 412 to 472.

Thank you for guiding me.

I'll do the same and start working on my IELTS improvement. It seems very difficult for me but let Try to put my best for myself.

If we don't have an employer letter, still we can get the PR?

Thank you once again.

IELTS is just one factor. You need employment documents to prove your experience. Now if you cant arrange everything, go for student visa but opt for PhD and not another masters unless you have a way to convince CIC why you are doing a 2nd masters and not doing a higher level of education.

If you cant increase your score, you will need a PNP but even for PNP you need work documents.
