Yes, but you have to have 730 days (2 years) in each 5 year period. So if you landed 01/01/04 stayed 1 day you have to return by 01/01/07 and remain in Canada for the following 729 days, without leaving. If you landed 01/01/04 remained in Canada for 1 year, and then left, you would have to return by 01/01/08 and remain for 1 full year, it is a rolling count based on landing, and last entry/exit to Canada.
