The very link that you provided in your previous post states the following:

In keeping with CIC's modernization agenda to move toward increased processing of applications from within Canada and with the implementation of GCMS, a portion of these FC4 applications will be processed from within Canada at the Case Processing Pilot in Ottawa (CPP-O).

So, yes, Ottawa does process parent PR applications and there are numerous people on this forum whose files were transferred from Mississauga to Ottawa.
Yes sir, a "portion" which in the following years was as such:

2010 - 59 applications processed out of total 18,830
2011 - 311 applications processed out of total 18,585
2012 - 349 applications processed out of total 35,996
2013 - 30 applications processed out of total 18,046

They took it as a pilot project and if you see in parents forum, few have gone to them again but its not entirely OFF, its quite possible it can go to them. Majority of folks ( as per parents forum ) who got lucky were actually from CPP-O and the ones which went to home country are still waiting

After processing, they ask the parent to send the passport to home country for stamping, infact I remember seeing a user who had to wait 6 odd months even after file was completed by CPP-O and those who had parents here in Canada, sent their passport to Seattle, and once Seattle was closed, CPP-O asked them to mail it to Ottawa. I have been following that forum very keenly, check this

Yes Peter, I did say that CPP-Ottawa processes parent/grandparent sponsorships from US (because those are US outland) I am well aware of this fact, and I never said anything to the contrary with respect to US outland as I myself have 3 friends who sponsored their parents from the US, and were just approved last year by CPP-Ottawa.

No sir, not JUST US outland - these are regular apps ( even if parents were in their home country, lot of parents apps went to CPP-O as pilot project ) and are still going.

Proof is right there, not sure what you are arguing about., lol

Yes, a portion. I never said all applications were going to Ottawa. And that portion also includes parents who don't live in US or Canada.

they have taken over applications from 2007, 2008 and 2009, so there is still a backlog in those as well.
They are working on those applications still in progress from 2007-2009, my point was at the earlier post that this is not CPP-Ottawa's mandate to take on new applications, as their processing time for those is already at 56-58 months.

CPP Ottawa processed the following parent sponsorship files (which included files from VOs around the world that had the longest processing times and were the huge backlog):

2007 - 3,158
2008 - 11,662
2009 - 8,610

All these people in the link maintained by a gentlemen in the parents forum - none of their parents are from US or Canada, they were in their home country

When CPP-O finished processing, they sent the file to local visa office who asked them to submit passport for stamping VS file who went to local visa for full processing
Those who got CPP-O were extremely lucky as their work was quick and efficient whereas places likes New Delhi, Pakistan taking ages

Now if the parent was visiting then simply get it stamped via Ottawa and flagpole, game over. From overall point of view, very unfair or say lucky for those who didn't get CPP-O as they are still waiting for waited for much longer but what can you do

2007 - 3,158 applications processed for parent sponsorship
2008 - 11,662 applications processed for parent sponsorship
2009 - 8,610 applications processed for parent sponsorship

Again, CPP-Ottawa does process applications for those who are not from US or Canada. And Peter and I provided links which show that. And CPP-Ottawa is one of the fastest, if not the fastest, office to process parent PR applications. So don't believe the 58 month timeline. And applications currently in Mississauga may still be transferred to CPP-Ottawa. Hope it's all clear now.

Your parents can apply for a visito visa immediately. You can sponsor them on a super visa once you make enough income from a job in Canada to meet the low income cut off.

Can we apply for a super visa and a general visitor visa (10 year validity) at the same time? I'm a little confused about the different kinds. Who gets to decide what kind of visa is issued? I went through the forms, and no where is there an option to select super visa or general visa.

please advise!!

If your parents apply for a super visa but the visa officer determines they don't qualify, the app may be evaluated for a regular TRV. There is an option to select super visa; you need to go through the forms and the guide more carefully.

I'm a Canadian Permanent resident (PR), since Nov 2014. My mother got her multiple entry visitor visa to Canada for 10 years in 2015. It's her second visit to Canada since then. She is leaving back to India coming week (March 2nd 2017). Now i want her to stay with us for longer duration than 6 months. So which is the best option for her ? To apply super-visa from India or come back as a visitor to Canada and apply for Super-visa from/within Canada on her next visit ? Kindly advise.

I want to Sponsor her for PR but when i did a research I could found out that, i have to submit my three years, Notice of assessment (NOA). I got my NOA for 2014 but no income, as i didn't work that year. I have my 2015 NOA and soon receive my 2016 NOA. My income is good for the last two years. I mean i'm eligible to sponsor her based on my financial eligibility. Now when can i start her Permanent resident application ?

Is there anyway to submit the application in Canada or we have to do it from India itself ?

Thanks in advance for all your comments and advice.....
God bless !
