Long story short, I have 2 years of experience working outside of Canada in Software Engineering. I have a BSc and next year I'll do a Master too. My plan is to apply for EE after the Masters and a third year of work, I will have around 489 points which hopefully can get me in.

But I was thinking I could perhaps try to do a WH (Internation Experience Canada) working for 1 year of experience (in my field), as that would give be way more points and I could be already for a while in Canada.

The problem is that getting a job before getting to Canada seems to be nearly impossible as I have read, at least with my little experience, and even if I did. I'm not sure it could count.

So a possible scenario if I try to go the WH way could be getting there, finding a job after 1 month and work until my visa expires. But I will not get to 1 year, will that mean that that year will be lost, or will it be count with the other 2?

I guess it's easier to just try to get to the 3 years outside of Canada but wanted to know if this is an option too, thanks for the help!

Unless you get the 1 year it won’t help you qualify.
