If I quit my studies and leave Canada?

If I quit my studies and leave Canada, will I have to apply for a new study permit from my country?
Because I have a study permit active for next 2 years.

Once you stop attending classes, your university will have to inform IRCC about your absence. IRCC then will cancel your study permit. So yes, you may need to apply for a new study permit from your country.

Another alternative might be to ask for a LOA, you can be away up to 150 days if ok'd by your DLI.
