I have been researching this topic for literally a million times and always get divergent answers. I directly contacted CIC for this issue but haven't heard from them.
So, I thought I would go ahead and ask this question for the last time. Here is my case.

I am already in a pool meaning I satisfied the minimum requirements and eligible to get invitations. Today, I received my IELTS test results and found out that once I update it, the CRS score will be over 500. So I am pretty confident I will get the invitation in the next round.

However,
I've got some issues with my family in my home country and want to go back for about 3 months. I will have to quit my job since my boss can't bear an employer vacancy for that long.

If I receive the invitation, submit the application and quit, leaving Canada, what would happen? Is it likely that my application will be canceled since I claimed 50 points for the job offer on the application? or it will not? Without that 50 points, my score won't be high enough to get the invitation.

I asked some of the immigration lawyers and some said that it won't affect because only times before the application submission will be counted while the others say it will indeed affect my application since my current situation will not be reflective of what is described on the application. What do you guys think?

You can't quit your job if you claimed points for job offer. If you do your points will be recalculated and could fall under cutoff resulting in rejection of your application
