Dear Friends,

If CRS score is 424 should i still wait for ITA from Express Entry OR go ahead with applying through PNP? Also should my spouse still take her IELTS to add additional points to my CRS?

Please suggest immediately we have to take this decision ASAP

Thanks,

I'd go with PNPs, the chances of the cutoffs going that low within the next year seem to be fairly slim, judging by past trends.

Unlikely to ever get an ITA at that score. Recommend that you explore all possible PN options. Spouse's IELTS score can potentially get you 20 points (CLB 9 or more) taking you achingly close to 450. The cutoff hasn't fallen below 450 ever but it is likely that it might drop slightly below 450 as the year progresses and CIC increases their intake. Even then, it might never fall below 440.

Even if your spouse aces the IELTS and you hit 444, you'll still have a long wait for a 'regular' ITA. Proceed with the PN route.

All the best!

Go with PNP, i had a similar score, 422, and lost hope of getting ITA. I applied to Saskatchewan PNP, got 600 points and waited pleasantly for a draw with my new score of +1000 points.

Good luck.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WAITING, LOOK FOR ALL THE OPTIONS TO GET A PNP. THAT WILL HELP YOU AND GETTING AN ITA WITH PNP IS A BREEZE. GOOD LUCK.

Thanks everyone who have answered....but just had following queries:

1) if i go via PNP route - should i focus only on Ontatio, Alberta and BC? - because i don't intend to stay & work in other provinces.
2) what is the ask if i get a PR through a PNP - do i have an obligation towards that province? if so - how long?
3) via Express entry or via PNP what timelines can me & my spouse think to get processing done - we have a work permit until 1st July'16? Also going by the work permit how long can we stay in Canada and when is the earliest i can start searching for new job - please help me on this one - i'm really confused.

Thanks Again,
