I have a very basic question..Is writting module in IELTS is manual writting with Pen/Pencil OR writting on computer with keyboard...

Reason being I am not very good with spells and computer writting will help me to find out the incorrect words written.

Please let me know how that works. Thanks

Its manual writing with pen. You need to do a lot of practice before attempting this....

To be exact its with a Pencil.

Check with your local IELTS center if they offer it through CBT.

I used a pen. A pencil is not mandatory for the writing session; although the reading and listening have to be done with a pencil, which they insist on.

Computer-based test (CBT) is offered in very few centres only, it's better you check with the intended centre. Even with a CBT, I doubt the spelling mistakes will be red-underlined. I know in TOEFL iBT it was not.

Thanks charmeuse. Reading and listening modules has Objective questions only....right? OR do we need to write in these modules.

Yes, objective questions only, where you would have to write single-word or 2- to 4-word answers. If I recall correctly, in the Reading session, there were also sentences to be written.
