Hi,
I am planning to go for IELTS test soon but i am a bit confused when it comes about choosing the type of exam i have to opt for.
To give you the background, basically i am a software engineer and I am planning to apply PR for Canada so that i can take a job and settle down in Canada.
I am taking studies as a backup option like if i am unable to get a job, i would probably take up a study course over there.
So i need to know that in my case, which type of IELTS exam should i take so that it can help me in both the ways i.e making eligible for work as well as study in Canada.

Your help would be really appreciated ;D

Thanks in advance

Only General IELTS is accepted for PR applications.

If you want to study in Canada, schools generally want to see results from an Academic IELTS test.

You definitely need to take General IELTS if you want to apply for PR. Academic IELTS results are not accepted.

If you wish to study, you will have to read the information on the web sites of the schools you plan to attend to see what language tests they accept.
