Hi Guys! Hoping you can give advise to my situation:

I am seeing OINP as one of the most viable option in getting close to canadian PR, I am now prepared to create an EE. Both me (I'm the principal) and my wife got our ECA handy. I recently got my IELTS report and I had CLB9 (I did not asked my wife to take the IELTS). Based on my initial assessment using a CRS tool, my score will be 406. But now I am in doubt if I still need to ask my wife to take the IELTS, in case she takes IELTS and hit CLB7, it will be additional 12 points, CLB6 for example though will give only 4 pts. In OINP standpoint, Is it worth it to have these additional points? Or can i just go ahead with CRS score of 406?

Thanks in advance!

Its always advisable to have both the applicant take IELTS. Higher CRS better chances of getting an ITA.

goodluck!

Thank you so much for your reply. I am considering it. But can I go ahead and create an EE first without my wife's IELTS. Then update my profile after she's got her report/score?

Thanks again!

Out of you both, whoever has Masters ECA should apply as primary applicant and score CLB 9.

Else, 406 is good and no need for your wife to appear in IELTS, since with this score OINP is still giving NOIs.
