Just wanted to share my IELTS experience in case anyone who will be giving the test needs any info. I took the IDP IELTS test on 30th April from Kolkata,India and the speaking test was held on 27th April.
Roughly, the questions asked in speaking was -

Section 1:

What is your name?
What do you do - whether student or working?
What is your job?
Do you enjoy working there?
Which season do you like and why?
How many seasons are there in your country?
How is the variation in seasons in your country?
Do you think if there was just one season throught it would be good?
What do you do in your free time across different seasons?
Do you do any household work?
How do you make household work more interesting?
Did you help your mother with household work as a child?
Do you think having machines that do all kinds of household work is good or bad?

--------------
Section 2:

Topic: Describe an old person whom you respect?
Who is that person? Why do you respect him/her?
What have you learnt from him/her?

----------
Section 3:

Do you think younger persons can benefit (learn anything) from older persons?
Do you think older persons can benefit from younger persons?
Do you think older persons are traditional?
Do you think organizations should employ more older workforce than younger workforce?
----------

The lady who took my test was very nice but I felt rushed for time (dont know why ???) as she kept adjusting the recorder in front of me..
Anyways I guess there are a set bit of questions that they ask - my spouse had a similar set of questions in the first section.

As for the writing the two questions were (more or less) :
1. Describe a problem you faced while staying at a hotel and how the receptionist helped you resolve the problem. In the letter also state how the receptionist helped you and how they can avoid that kind of problem in future

2. Do you think working from home should be allowed - give advantages, disadvantages and your own opinion

Let me know if anyone has any questions and I can try to help..Cheers and All the Best!! :)
