Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello all,

I think I lost touch in writing with pen and papers. The last time I wrote in paper was about 4 years ago during my university degree. So I am wondering if I can write IELTS exam entirely with a pencil? It's easier for me to correct my mistakes by using eraser. Is it allowed in IETLS to write exams using only pencils? Please do reply.

For listening and reading it is mandatory to use pencil, for writing you have the choice to use pencil or pen

I highly recommend pencil for writing as well. It gives you lot of comfort in editing and rephrasing and using better words while reviewing. I just practiced writing 2 assays and 2 letters before my ielts and scored 7. And yes I erased and edited my sentences alot in the exam.

Wow, thanks for the swift replies, amanjpro and polcoin! I would always go for pencils in my exam too! :)

I used pencil for all sections :)
BTW my friend who wrote at IDP was told to use pen however I am not sure if it was for all sections or any 1 in particular.

I took my IELTS in IDP. Pencil is allowed in all sections. Don't need to worry about it.
