Hello

My husband is a main applicant for the federal skilled workers program. But we are not sure about his points for IELTS. In one band (reading) he has 5.5. According to CIC it makes us not eligible for immigration since its written that all four band scores must be at least 6. But yet we find online information and people say us that points awarded for the suitable band score (aka we earn point for all passed band).
Does someone have information about this? Maybe someone succeeded in sending documents with total IELTS score 6.5?
Thanks!

Your husband will be automatically refused. To qualify to apply for PR through the FSW program the primary applicant must score a minimum of 6 in each IELTS category. Having a 5.5 in reading disqualifies him from the program. If he wishes to apply, he will have to write IELTS again and obtain a higher score in reading.

No - there is no chance of success with his current score.

This is exactly my case right now. I got every other things ready. I didn't see this clause until today, otherwise, I had the results months ago and would taken another since
