IELTS Academic / General

Dear All,

I have appeared for IELTS Academic module recently. My question is whether the result is sufficient for me to apply for Canada Immigration under skilled worker programme. In assessment my score reaches 70 with IELTS Academic. OR Do I need to reappear for GENERAL Module Waiting to hear from all of you.

Please note that Academic IELTS is not acceptable for canada immigration. U must sit for General training IELTS

Dr. Hasib is absolute;y right, u need to appear in General Module of IELTS for Canadian Immigration purpose.

Reading 5.5
Writing 5.5
Speaking 6

Overall Band 5.5

I know its too low band score … hope I will prepare more and get more scores... inshAllah

Try to get atleast 12 points from IELTS.....
Download cambridge IELTS & Kaplan IELTS from the link i provided & practise hard.....
For writing there are some rules & u must follow it to score better. Some rules are provided in the following link

Hi, all.

I have seen and read that for applications submitted for general skilled migration, the Academic IELTS result is not accepted. Why is this?

My wife and I have both sat the Academic module in the last 2 months (for Australian skills assessments), and we both obtained overall band 8.5 - I got Reading 9, Speaking 8.5, Writing 8.5, Listening 8.5. Why would this result not be acceptable?

this is simply latest canadian immigration rule.....however GT ielts must not be more that 1 year old while applying.
Now, dont waste your time, sit for GT IELTS ASAP

Nobody has been ever rejected because of academic module, but after 26 June it is better to go for GT Module.
