Hi,

I have created an account to go into the pool for the 2019 invitations and want to start getting paperwork together in the off chance I get invited to apply.

I haven't got a problem applying for the police certificate for the UK, but I did the two year working holiday in Australia as well - will I need to get an Australian police certificate as well? I'm kind of assuming I do, as it says for anywhere I've spent longer than 6 months since the age of 18 but I want to check it isn't implied that it means as a permanent resident?

Thank you in advance for any help!

No - it's not implied that it means as a permanent resident. If you have lived somewhere for 6 months or longer under any status since the age of 18, you must provide the PCC for that country. So you would need to provide one for both the UK and Australia.

Thank you - that's what I thought but wanted to check before I start the process.

Just be aware as sure you know that if you were living in Victoria and / or believe Queensland you need traffic/licence history reports whether you drove or held a licence or not so that could take extra time

Thanks for that. Annoyingly, I did spend most my time in Victoria but drove on my UK licence. Just for reference for anybody else needing to know - I contacted VicRoads to ask about a Full Licence History Report if I never held an Australian licence as you cannot apply online for one. You need to email demerits@roads.vic.gov.au with the following information: Full Name (as per passport), D.O.B and addresses in Australia in the email. It takes 7-10 days for a response with a report/confirmation of not holding an Australian licence.
