IEC visa and entering with the current COVID situation.

Hello, I have until August to enter with my port of entry letter in order to activate my visa, I’m unsure what to do, am I still allowed to fly from the UK to Canada at the moment to activate it?

You need to check any additional conditions / exclusions imposed by your travel insurer given many are either not covering COVID or simply not issuing a policy which is still mandatory for the IEC program specifically repatriation.

Note currently for an undetermined period there is a mandatory 14 day isolation period on arrival with no outside of isolation contact .

As far as I know you'll need to present your isolation plans to the border officer. That can be in your own residence or a hotel you booked. If you don't have a place or a sufficient plan they'll designate you to a facility.

You should be researching your own place first , versus expecting the government to put you up

As above If you have no isolation plan then as above the government will likely have an arrangement with a hotel which will not be free and also given a government designated possibly more checks than if you go to a place of your chosing. CBSA will likely not be happy anyone arriving without a plan given is pretty well advertised as a mandatory requirement.

No idea when you planned to travel other than obviously before August assuming flights are available but guess we are all hoping that the isolation requirement will be relaxed by then.
