IEC issues from Australia! Please assist if possible

Hi guys,

New to the forum, really good idea it has helped me out a lot!

Anyway I'm from Perth, Western Australia currently living in Calgary. I am here on visiting visa but applied for a working permit around September 2014. I recieved my Conditional Letter of Acceptance from the IEC and foolishly thought it was my working permit!! (As there was only one stage to apply when I worked here in 2010.

Since then my Conditional Letter of Acceptance has expired (November 2014).

I have tried to call/email the CIC and IEC to ask for advice on if I can get it extended. Do any of you know if it is possible, and if so is there a phone number or office in Calgary that could help me out? I'm assuming that its not possible as my spot in the quota would be taken. However I was also wondering when I apply again through IEC can I make another Kompass account with my same details? I've withdrawn my application however I see no link to apply again on my account as it says 'accepted'.

I believe the applications for aus open today 9/1/15?

Any thoughts on how to get myself going again would be much appreciated.

1. It appears you have been working without authorization, as you never went to the border and got the work permit.
2. Re-read the letter of introduction, it is valid for 1 year from the date of issue.

4. Make sure you have the proof of insurance and proof of funds.
5. One thing, though is if you have been working, there is a very good chance that CBSA will refuse you admission.

1.Havent been working here just travelling as I don't want to get sent home
2.I think that is a different letter your talking about, mine is the one from IEC not actually completed stage two. Conditional Acceptance Letter it is and indeed expired November 2014 so I'm working out if I can get it extended but now that applications are closed I dont think so.
4.Yeh have insurance for the year and a printout of my bank account.
5. Ok thanks I havent been working, I love this place dont want to be disallowed.

When applications open should I make a new kompass account, or is there a button where I can apply again for another CAL?

If this has been asked already sorry for wasting time just trying to find up to date info.
