I have a letter that begins:
"Your application to work in Canada has been approved. A permit authorizing you to work will be issued
to you on your arrival to Canada following an examination by an officer of the Canada Border Services
Agency"
for my IEC entry. That's fine. What confuses me is the section where it says this:
"Validity (YYYY/MM/DD):
01/10/2016
Must enter Canada by (YYYY/MM/DD):
01/10/2016"
These dates are not in the format YYYY/MM/DD and I cannot tell which is the month and which is the day. The letter is dated 1 Oct 2015, and I am pretty sure that 01/10/2016 means 1 Oct 2016 because I have to enter Canada within a year of being issued the POE letter, correct?
Also, a second question: if I enter Canada in September and then immediately go to Japan, and then return to Canada, will I be able to continue my working holiday? I think the answer is "yes", from reading related questions, but I just want to check. It would be a shame to get the visa and then only use it for a few days!
