Hello,

First of all I apologise if this is covered on many other threads, I have tried search but not found my answer.

How long does the pool process take each year from start to finish. Is the quote usually filled by the end of January or do they allocate places throughout the whole year?

The reason I ask is that I have put my application in the pool but I turn 30 in October so if I am successful it would have to happen before October.

If anybody has any experience this and of when I'm likely to know if I am successful or not.

Kind regards,

Not sure why you are concerned given for UK the age qualification as stated in the guidelines is 18-30 inclusive.

In past years the process has run all the way through to the summer given they have issued invitations in batches. The number of invitations issued should not necessarily be viewed as representing all successful applications given often people do not for ever reason follow through.

Also in past years although a quota is set upfront there has been minor increases in the quota towards the end of the program, of course cannot rely on that.

There is no real way to predict if or when you might get an invitation you will just need to follow the numbers

Just for extra advice maybe also post in this forum which is more UK biased , there is an IEC 2019 thread

Thank you for your response and for the links you have provided Incredibly helpful.

The reason I am concerned regarding my age is that 2019 is my last year to apply is it not? Or can you apply when you are 30 also?
