Hi, i dont know if I am in trouble. Please advice.

My IEC expired 2 weeks ago and I am still in canada working with the extension of temporary visa resident 5710 and my company do allow people whom have applied for that particular visa to work until they are rejected. I have also created a express entry profile with a score of 433 as soon as i hit my one year. I am trying to use the "implied" status ( which i assume im on right now, but im unsure the more i read) to bang on the fact i might be selected for express entry or provincial nomination (mostly like not) what should I do not? Am i actually allowed to work, or should i return home now immediately and wait for the federal draw? Would this affect my application? Please help

You don’t have grounds to extend your IEC. You shouldn’t have applied to extend but you will be denied and then you will have been out of status starting 2 weeks ago.

Expect your app to be rejected as incomplete. This will leave you out of status as of your IEC expiry, meaning all work done since expiry will be illegal.

Your plan isn't going to work on a few fronts. First of all, your extension is going to be refused as incomplete (since you don't qualify to apply). You won't be able to count any of the work you have done since the expiry of your IEC as work experience for immigration purposes. So you're not going to hit the one year.

Also, you must have valid status in Canada at the time you submit your PR application. So not going to work from that perspective either.

I would return home and apply from there. You won't be able to claim the year of work experience in Canada.
