The application calls for submission of identity documents to confirm relationship for all family members of the applicant. All of these people (children and brothers/sisters of the applicant) are mature adults who are not dependent in any way on the applicant, are widely dispersed and have no interest in ever moving to Canada from the UK. We will submit readily available birth certificates but how important are the remainder? Some of these people are no longer even in touch with the applicant!

In the case of immigration with Canada, Family Members/ Dependents are only your spouse and your children (or your spouses children). The only time you mention ANYONE else is on the Additional Family Information form: IMM5406, and that is only your mother, father, spouse, children, and siblings (including half-siblings).

For your children birth certificates are fine, and for your spouse a marriage certificate (if legally married).
