ICT Process / time line from India - Medical / Biometrics

Hi All
When we apply for ICT from India - we need to do medical upfront and provide the same during online application submission.
i heard update of medical results itself takes about 4 weeks. Is this true ? Any idea

They say GSS takes 2 week approval - then how does it work if the medical updation itself takes 4 weeks - thy cannot appove VISA without medicals ?

can someone clarify please.

Based on experince can someone share timelines / confirm how much time it takes to get a decision once the application is filed ?

does the application status is updated by IRCC at each step like biometic comepletion / medical results updated etc ?

GSS in reality never gets approved within 2 weeks. A month and usually more is the reality.

Yes. it is better to do medical upfront while submission of online application. When you get your medical done, you should recieve a confirmation which you need to upload while applying. It will not take 4 weeks. Don't worry.

GSS is meant to be approved within 2 weeks time. Mine was approved within 5 days including weekend holidays but that was way back in 2019 before Covid-19. It was a paper application and my office was New Delhi.

Due to Covid-19, there is no specific timeline but it will take much longer than the time it used to take before pandemic. In my view, it will take around 30-60 days.

ICT GSS - Passport Submission Request Received
Time line
Online Submission - 8th March
Medical test Submission - 8th March - Upfront for Dependent
Biometric - 25th March - Self
Biometric - Dependent - 18th March
PPR mail - 14th April
