I have been working as an employee (senior) in a small firm which is own by my family. I used ICT to move to Canada and am trying to setup the work here. My role here is CEO.
As per the lawyer who processed my application I am eligible to get 200 points after 1 year of working in Canada. However this is what I read in a site:
Foreign national's current employer (i.e., the one notified on a valid LMIA-Exempt Work Permit) made them a job offer that meets the following requirements:
- be in writing
- set out details of the job, such as pay and deductions, duties, job conditions
- made by one employer
- continuous & paid
- full-time (at least 30 hours a week)
- for at least one year after IRCC issues a permanent resident visa
- in a job that is NOC: Skill Type 0 or Skill Levels A or B
Does the line in bold mean that I have to work in that firm for at least 1 more year after I get PR ? How long will it take to get PR (one I file it)?
