I wish to renew Biometrics for longer visa validity

I previously held a Canadian visa that was valid for 8 years, but it expired last year. My biometrics are currently valid for about 2 more years, while my passport has a longer validity period.


I would like to know whether it is possible to renew my biometrics in order to obtain a visitor visa with a longer validity. If so, could you please guide me on the process?

Sure but TRVs are no longer mostly 10 yr multi-entry so may have no impact on the duration of your TRV

Yes, you can extend your biometrics. Simply answer “Yes” when asked if you have provided biometrics in the last 10 years. Once you select “Yes,” the system will prompt you about renewal / extension (e.g., “Do you want to extend/renew your biometrics?”). Choose “Yes,” and you’re good to go. Following is exact info:
