I don't know if this is even possible. I am married and on SSI. Is there any possiblity of moving to canada and getting SSI over there and becoming a citizen and getting disability over there or join some kind of work program. I am wanting to work my husband is as well. But we have both had it with Obama, the unemployment. I have always wanted to become a Canadian citizen. I just want to note as well, neither one of us has a criminal record. Thanks for the help

Does either yourself or your Husband hold Permanent Residency in Canada at all? If not you can apply via the Skilled workers program...

Here is the link..http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp There is a test you can do to see if your eligible I think you have to have 67 points in order to apply..

Or the provincial Nominees program..http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/index.asp

You have to have Permanent residency in Canada for 1,095 days over 4 consecutive years before you can be a Citizen

I hope this helps you
