Oh is it coz the amount is large? I got into University of Montreal. Not any small college or University. :(
That I can’t say what’s the reason. But it is upto you if you want to take this step. Because nobody knows what is going on in vo’s head.

Is there any specific format in which proof of funds need to submitted? I just put all documents one after other in a pdf. The first page explains each document in detail.
Sorry I am not aware of any format.

I submitted the following:

1. Savings from my own account.
2. GIC of 10000CAD transferred to CIBC, Canada.
3. 3 fixed deposits.

I rechecked the document I uploaded. All pages are readable.

GIC wasn't necessary in your case. But do attach it again, fresh bank statements, ITR if any, updated status of fixed deposits and any other assets that you can show. You should at least have 1 year tuition fee + 10000 (already covered in GIC) and textbook + other expenses mentioned on LOA. Its better to show 2nd year funds as well if you have them.

I thought GIC would help.

It is Diploma course, so only 1 year. I had shown close to 50000 CAD, which is way more than tution+expenses. I will put fresh bank statements again and fixed deposit details.
