I want to immigrate to Canada. please i need some help.

Hello.

My name is lina and i live now in jerusalem israel.

Im a single mom for two kids 11 and 9 years old. its been very hard to to live and raise two kids on my own in this country due to financial and security problems over here. im looking for a safe place to raise my kids .im renting a house paying more than half of my sallery on the rent. im working now full time job at Hertz rent a car company for about three years, i have no time to see my kids i work 6 days a week for arround 10 hours a day, i feel im missing the chance to be with my kids and do some activities with them coz i need to work hard to provide them with the basic things they need. im a very hard honest employee doing my best to achieve my goals in this company, a year ago they sent me to a trainee course for management. i love my work so much and i know that the best job that suits me is working with clients. I have no help over here neither from the goverment nor from the kids father .
I have always dreamed of going to live in Canada.

I hope that threw this site i can find help to find a better place for me and my kids.

By reading your brief story I feel really sad on your pathetic situation to raise your kids in Israel. Most of the readers know the situation over there since last 30 years or more. I hope you may be able to find a peaceful future life in Canada with your kids. You have not mentioned about your educational qualifications. Any how you can do a self assessment about your eligibility to immigrate to Canada by using the tools shown in the CIC website. I dont think life here is rosy either, please go over some of the post of new immigrants. It will give you a good perspective

I second Newtone's comment. Check the salary you would be getting in Canada from Hertz, and the hours you would be required to work, before assuming that things would be easier in Canada.

Also research the cost of living. To raise two kids in Canada, I assume you'd need at least $4000 per month, less about $800 in income taxes. This is nowhere near a luxurious existence. And you'd be living in a smaller city (not more-expensive Toronto or Vancouver).

There are many threads about the cost of living in Canada in this forum.

But I hope you do find that moving to another country (if not Canada, then somewhere else) will solve some of your problems. Can Hertz help you find a job elsewhere? If so, Hertz may also know about the cost of living in those countries.

Hi to Newtone and toby, very good suggestions from both.

It seems from her post that Lena Ibrahim wants to get out from her country with her kids mainly because of the increased cost of living, worst security situation due to political instability and continues fighting with neighbor.
