Hello! Please advise me.

I am a PR. Since the beginning, my passport has a slightly different spelling and missing middle name for my mother. I would correct the spelling of her name in my passport, and keep it like how it is in her passport. I am doing it so that CIC does not waste time thinking why the names are different, and do not doubt unnecessarily.

Would there be any problem?

Would advise you to establish yourself in Canada before inviting your mother to visit you.

There shouldn't be any problem, I had some clients whose parents names spelling were different in passport and in other documents.
They attached an affidavit saying that both names belongs to the same person and it was fine with IRCC.
