I am sponsoring my husband within Canada and we live in Quebec, which means that Quebec had to provide a Certificate of Selection to move forward.

On February 7th, the sponsorship was approved by MICC and they sent the CSQ to CIC electronically.

When I look at our status on the CIC website, all I can see is this:

We received your application to sponsor xxxxx on May 22, 2012.

We started processing your application on September 26, 2012.

...
And then, under the Logout button, there is this:

The following tables will help you understand the status of your application.
•Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class Living Outside Canada
•Application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class Living Outside Canada for Sponsors Living in the Province of Quebec

What I understand is this: why are they sending us tp links pertaining to people living outside Canada, and not giving anything related to inside Canada?

Does anyone living inside Canada see this when they look at their status?

what you seeing there is a general e-cas information, both people inside and outside get the same e-cas information but when you click on the inside applicant it will give you a brief outline of the timeline. but that how it is for everybody who applies spousal application

I have the same thing on mine,

But when I click on mine (applicant) the links at the bottom are for inside canada..

It seems on mine anyway that the links you showed are on my sponsors info, but inside info is on mine

Thank you! I was getting worried that they moved us in the wrong category!!!

Oh! I never though of looking at it from the applicant's point of view.
In fact, I would not know how...

I use my own UCI code.. Brings up the exact same information.. Just the links below are different..

They did not provides us with a different UCI code for my husband, only for me, the sponsor.

Mine is from when i got a working holiday visa a few years ago.. UCI stays the same no matter what you are doing with CIC

Though on any paperwork sent to your husband, it will show it on there...

I got a letter from them, asking to resend in a form and I had my UCI (same as my old visa) and my file number..

Same day, my partner got his AOR so we got both our UCI's same day...

that right both sponsor and applicant should have a number when they apply, it could be an old number from a prior application or a new number maybe a month or two after you apply.

Hmmm ... I tried using the same UCI, but this time with my husband's name, DOB and place of birth, and got this: We were not able to identify you using the information you provided.

They never sent any paperwork to my husband. Only to me.

The UCI's are different for each person..

Yours only works with your information and vice versa...

Once your husband recieves some paperworkd from them, he will get his own..

But - they dont say anything different at all....
