Hello,

I received my eCOPR last week. My fianceé has an express entry profile with a CRS score of 474. But since there won't be any draws until late this year, what's the fastest way for her to receive PR?

PNP or marriage?

Also, if we get married now, do I still have to let IRCC know?

She has an open work permit valid till June 2023.

Update: We have been living together since September 2020.

Are you living together?

Yes, we have been living together since September 2020.

You became common law effective Sept 2021 (after a year of living together). It's mandatory that you add common law partners and spouses to applications. Did you notify IRCC and add her to your application yet? Did she complete the medical, provide PCCs, etc. as part of your application?

I submitted my application in August 2021. I did not notify IRCC, as I was not aware we became common-law after a year. How do I notify them now? And what happens to my PR status?

Since you already have eCOPR, I believe that means you are a PR now. Once you are a PR, it's too late to fix a mistake like this.

Your fiancee will have to qualify for PR on her own through an economic immigration program like EE. You won't be able to sponsor her.

Ok that makes sense. So, if we get married now, only she has to update her EE profile. I don't have to notify IRCC anything.
