Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
My boyfriend and I are getting married in May 2010 in the Philippines. After the wedding, I will go back in Toronto for my work and to process all the requirements to sponsor. My questions are;

1. Basically what are all the documents/requierments should I complete?
example: Police clearance
Photocopy of Passports,PR Card,Marriage Certificate
Letter of Employment
T4/or Bank Statement
Proof of Genuine Relationship: pictures, emails, gifts, letters, phonebills or phonecards, receipts, etc.

Please let me know what should I add to show that I am eligible to sponsor.

2. What are the requirements that my boyfriend needs to complete in the Philippines after the wedding?
example: NBI
Birth Certificate
Photocopy of Passport, Marriage Certificate etc.
Proof of Genuine Relationship: pictures, emails, gifts, letters, phonebills or phonecards, receipts, etc.
Pictures
Letter of Employment
Bank Statement
???????

requirements after receiving the application kit?
example: Medical Examination (when is the right time for my boyfriend to get medical examination?)

4. Can somebody share their timeline and personal experiences on this matter that can help us.

Very much appreciated.

1.
You as a sponsor do not need police records.
You do not need a letter of employment or bank statements since you're sponsoring your spouse. You do, however, need an Option C printout (see the forms for information on how to order it) from Revenue Canada to prove that you're not going through bankruptcy and that you're not on social welfare.

2.
The applicant doesn't need employment letters or bank statements either.
He does need police records for any country, except Canada, where he's spent more than six months since turning 18. Note that the police records expire if they are not in the hands of the CIC within three months of the date they were issued, so make sure you can send in your application as soon as the police records arrive.

In general, look at the document checklist and the country specific information. According to the CIC homepage Manila takes 4-8 month to process a spousal residency application.

Actually, you do need a letter of employment when applying to sponsor a spouse; although there is no minimum income requirement, it's still an issue if you don't have a job because they want to know that you are able to provide what you promise in your undertaking (see page 4 of this document).

The information you need is in the application forms, guides and document checklists available at this link. Probably the best way to start is to print out the application forms, and the sponsor's and applicant's guides, and start working on a draft copy of your application. That will bring up specific questions, and you can come back here to get answers. The process isn't that complicated - but you need to familiarize yourself with the paperwork first, before you really know what questions to ask.

Not quite. There is no job requirement at all to sponsor; however, if you do have a job, you should send an employment letter anyway.
