I need some advice---- Urgently

I had applied for my PR in New Delhi about 6 years ago. Mine is not fast track, hence the time. Early this year I did my medicals and heard nothing from them again. I have now received a request for my passport for stamping and have been advised that I have to send it within 30 days or else my application will be dropped.

I currently live in the UK and recently visited India (2 weeks ago) and it is not possible to go back. Is there some way I can get them to agree for me to get my passport stamped here in London.

Any one with information please help.

I guess a few folks have sent the passport via international courier.... why cant you do that?

If you want to get stamping from London CHC, you might first need to get your case transferred from ND CHC to London CHC - and I am sure that will take good time!!

I understand that it is not legal to send your (Indian) passport by post or courier. I am not sure of other countries passports. I have been told of a case where the Indian customs have seized one poor girls passport and she had to go through hell to get it back.

I have also enquired with a few courier companies and they have told me that I have to give them a written consent that I will not hold them responsible if my passport gets misplaced.

Why can't you look for someone you know very well travelling to india to give to your family member in india. They can then submit for you in india and they can pick it up for you too. Remember you need a written cconsent, both to the person taking it to india and the family member submitting and collecting it. They in turn will find someone trustworthy to send it back to you in london. This option is also very risky and dangerous.
By law, you can't send it either by mail or courier so that's out of it.
Your other option is to go to india yourself, it is not economical I know. But chose between the risk of losing your passport and this.
They can't ransfer your case to london because it is not in process, they have already finalised it.
