My job got me a trip to a World Cup match in Dallas Texas next Saturday June 27. I am currently in Mexico City and this coming Monday June 22, it's the 20th businesses day after I submitted my passport renewal in the Canadian Embassy. I expect the passport to be ready for pickup next week cause it was a simple and straight forward renewal, however I want to make sure I have either that or a temporary passport with e chip to board the plane and enter the US. The embassy website isn't letting me issue an appointment until Thursday. Is there any way to call the embassy and get this temporary passport explaining that I need to travel within that same week in case the application is still getting processed? Thank you
