I need help!

Hello everybody,
Here's what happened to us in a reverse order:
1) Application refused by Hong Kong office May 05
2) Interview scheduled May 04: We didn't show up the interview because we didn't SEE the March 29 invitation until May 09! Why? I can't access my Gmail in mainland China! We're not blaming the Hong Kong office, it's not their fault, but we didn't mean to miss the interview on purpose!
3) We emailed HK office right away, apologized, explained what had happened, then requested a rescheduled interview.
As of May 14, no response received.
In my case, should I start the appeal? or should I wait until HK replies?
Frustration, anxiety, regret, self-blame----you name it!
Any advice? Thanks a lot!

I would personally wait another week and then appeal.

FYI - there are ways of easily bypassing the IP blocks while in mainland China to access gmail and other blocked sites.

Yes it would be wise to wait another week or so.
I only wish I knew that trick to have access to gmail! Ironically, I was there in China for 5 weeks, and had been trying every means to check the emails but still missed it!
You feel so bad when you missed something you've been so eagerly waiting for while it was already there!
It's so unfortunate that you got refused because you didn't even see the invitation, let alone show up for the interview!
