me and my husband got married in canada, we all have the evidence to prove that we have a genuine relationship, the only problem is 3 months ago we call 911 because my husband which is my sponsor tries to commit suicide by overdozing on pills, and after that the ambulance came and 2 policemen, im just wondering if it will affect his eligibility to sponsor?? does it go to his records?? :(

Medical records are not public and the sponsor is not subject to a medical review, so I cannot imagine how CIC will even learn of this. Were they to find out, I don't read anything in the sponsor requirements that prohibits sponsorship based upon a past medical or psychological issue.

I hope that your husband has recovered and the root cause of whatever issue led him to consider such a horrible action has been resolved.
