Hi I'm applying June or July this year..i just have a few questions..anybody who have an idea please i need you help in filling my application.

1. What is "certificat de selection du Quebec " in no 7 of the generic application ? - if I answered no which in my case I did not apply- there a follow up question of "when did you apply"? Do i really have to apply for CSQ? what is it exactly? where would I apply?
2. Before in previous application they want you to put N/A if the questions are not applicable to you...my question is in this new form, the PDF turns light blue in color...does this mean that i don't have to put N/A anymore?
3. My passport is about to expire on Feb 14, 2013, do you think that I have to renew my passport now ( before I passed my application) or it's okey to used it in my application?
4. Our application falls on category 2 ( with AEO or job offer- from a company in Nova Scotia) In question no.6 Where do you intend to live..do I have to answer Nova Scotia or the place that i really want ( it's either BC or Alberta)

please help me ...thank you in advance

Since you are not going to settle in Quebec, leave this blank. Yes you don't have to put N/A anymore the color changes automatically.
You need not to renew your passport at this stage. But renew it after sending your application.
It's better to right the name of the place with the job offer. There is no restriction to settle any where if you are applying under federal skilled category. Better not to have contradictions.

1. What is "certificat de selection du Quebec " in no 7 of the generic application ? - if I answered no which in my case I did not apply- there a follow up question of "when did you apply"? Do i really have to apply for CSQ? what is it exactly? where would I apply?: Once you select/write for the above 6 questions, 7 will be automatically deselection category. Just try.
2. Before in previous application they want you to put N/A if the questions are not applicable to you...my question is in this new form, the PDF turns light blue in color...does this mean that i don't have to put N/A anymore?: Yes, you're right. Once you keep blank for any of the mandatory section, you will not be allowed to Validate. After you confirm all the units, you will be permitted to validate. So, its very easy.
3. My passport is about to expire on Feb 14, 2013, do you think that I have to renew my passport now ( before I passed my application) or it's okey to used it in my application?: Its wise to issue a newer one specially MRP
4. Our application falls on category 2 ( with AEO or job offer- from a company in Nova Scotia) In question no.6 Where do you intend to live..do I have to answer Nova Scotia or the place that i really want ( it's either BC or Alberta): You have to select where you want to live in Canada. Say you want to live in Ontario, Toronto. Then select ON at first then Toronto

please help me ...thank you in advance

I want to reconfirm something about the total original form---

• Document check list (ticked) -- must
• Generic Application Form to Canada (IMM 0008) -- must
• Schedule A: background declaration (IMM 5669) -- must
• Additional Dependants/ Declaration (IMM 00008DEP) (if applicable) -- no need to include this form with my application as I am single
• Supplementary Information - Your Travels (IIM 5562) -- Have to fill only name and tick the check box of 'did not travel'
• Schedule 3: Economic Classes - Federal Skilled Workers (IMM 0008 - Schedule) -- must
• Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) -- must (need to fill only sister and brother)
• Use of a representative (IMM 5476) -- no need to include this form with my application as I don't use any representative

In the case of these two (if applicable) forms I have to unchecked in document check list ..Please let me clear about my understanding…..any other form that I have to attach ?

I can't divide my educational years in Schedule A: background declaration (IMM 5669) no 7 field (education):
I have completed:
1. Secondary School (Metric / 10th Class / S.S.C.) = 10 Years
2. Higher Secondary School (Intermediate / 12th Class /H.S.C.) = 2 Years
3. Bachelor of Zoology (3 years B.Sc Course) = 3 Years (but it took 4 years for session delay)
4. Masters of Zoology (1 year M.Sc Course) = 1 Year (but it took 2 years for session delay)

In this case, how can I divide in Elementary/Primary School ________ , Secondary/High School _________ , University/College ________ , Trade school or other post secondary school ___________ ?

In the details section, which order I have to put information? Latest one at first?

In our country, elementary or primary is 5 years where as 5 years in secondary and 2 years for higher secondary school. Hence our elementary is 5 and secondary is 7 years.

If you have not any primary but only secondary, you can write 10....2.......4

However, you should follow the applicants in your country who have already applied.

But in section 8, you should declare the timeline as actually consumed in each institution.

1)My Residential address can be change in near future ,so I want to give my previous living address as my current mailing address in Generic Application Form...Is it any problem?
2)If I change the present/residential address do I need to inform them? or only at the case of changes of mailing address?
3)In 'Background Declaration Form' no 12 field (list all adrress where you have live since your 18th birth day) I have a problem..In the year of
2003 we changed our addresses rapidly for big accomodation..one of that address was not as easy to find ..personally I think not to add this address.. Can it will be a problem in future?
4)Current mailing address's allow only 10 character..but I need to write another 8/10 character to add my level number,What can I do?

1. Whatever contact address is, you must get sure you will not loose any document/letter sent by them. No need to dwell there.
2. Always let your visa office know in case of contact address and email address change.
3. I think you know better whether the address has any significance or not. It is wise to keep information true because misrepresentation can lead to refuge your application, God forbids.
4. In street option, its possible to write a bit more. Your total address must be there, not necessarily each and every section set by the CIC format. One or two or more options might not be applicable for you. You can share your address, I may try to put.
