after reading some post, my understanding is that
if I'm only sponsoring my wife, she does not need to provide her family photos
but if she doesn't, she will not be able to sponsor her parents, later.
My wife is planing on sponsoring her parents once we settle in.

so what kind of photos should I submit?
same as photo specification in Appendix B?

to lessen any delay, i'm wondering if I can have her parent take the photo then email me the image file
so I can print them here
it doesn't say It has to be stamped or signed, just name and birthday on the back

Your spouse doesn't need photos of her parents, whoever told you is wrong.

but they do need medicals don't they?

i came across this thread

first person to reply says if I dont include the pictures of her parents, my wife would not be able sponsor them later on... maybe I mis understood?

I am pretty sure the only photos or medicals you need are for people being sponsored, you just list their names and nothing else under unacompnying family members. But there is no place that i know of to put pictures for people not being sponsored on the app you are doing now.
If that was the case everyone in your immediate family would have to have pictures and medicals done NO.And why would they want this from anyone other than the people being sponsored as the photos and medicals would go out of date before they ever applied for sponsorship.

So what PMM said is right

yup thats right u dont need to attach pictures of her parents neither medical. once she is there in canada and eligible to sponsor than her parents need to get their medicals done as medicals are valid for around 6 months. hope this helps you :)

You misunderstood. In the top section, if you don't list your spouse or children, and submit photos and medicals, you cannot sponsor them later. At the bottom, there is a place to list your parents and then your siblings. These do not need to submit photos or medicals now. They have to be listed on the application now, that's all.

OH WOW i had always misunderstood that too, there have been several threads since i started posting here saying you can't sponsor family at a later date with out the two
it's good to know i was scared of what e for them in their old age) would come of my parents (really don't trust my brothers to car
