I want to get my youngest sister a student visa. I am already in Canada. I will be the one who will support her. Do I need to transfer the required money to her account or it is ok if the money is with me as long as I will write a letter to the immigration stating that I will pay for all the expenses and tuition fees. Thank you!

It can be in ur account.

all u need to do is get a letter from the bank where it is and tax returns as u are already in canada.

if u have good credit standing attach couple of statements too to show solvency.

cheers.

You can use both the options. Propain has explained most of it. But if you transfer the money to your sister's account and give a statement that these funds will be for her education and expenses, the Visa officer might look into them as secured funds. This is just an opinion. I don't know how the visa officer feels in such cases .

Good Luck

agree with mizan, that shows better stability that this money is towards her educational expenses.
