Come to Canada and start looking for a job, there are many local Canadian welders here, dosent make sense to hire someone from Turkey.

Hi,

An update for Newtone:

The NOC job code 7265: Welders and Related Machine Operators is one of the 29 highly demanded professions in new list of 2011. The Canadian Govt. believes that welders are much in demand i suggest recepnarin to start applying for jobs & hopefully you might get lucky & land yourself a job in Canada.

Good luck to you.....

Hello,
An update for astasi:

The NOC code 3111 Specialist Physicians also happens to be in high demand. Having said that I think people should also read the following articles. This is a very serious issue

http://www.thestar.com/article/416052

http://forums.studentdoctor.net/archive/index.php/t-100771.html

All this demand for jobs is all fake, we have more then enough physicians, engineers, lawyers, skill workers (carpenters/electricians/welders) graduating from Canadian universities but are unemployed because there are no jobs to be found

Hi Newtone,

What you are highlighting is the plight of one highly skilled section of foreign workers who are not suitably employed due to the indifference of the Canadian employers & government's inability to address the issue by taking an affirmative action.

This should not discourage workers with lower skills to seek a future in Canada.

Yes I agree that there is indifference of the Canadian employers & government's inability to address the issue by taking an affirmative action. Having said that worksers from overseas should keep this in mind when applying to come to Canada for the purpose of working in their chosen field for which they have qualified under the immigration points system in the first place.

The government, immigration and Canadian employers have to foster a close working relationship to addresses this issue otherwise brains will only be drained here and we as Canadians will not be able to withold our values as a multicultural nation, free of discrimination, racism and equality in employment
