My husband and I sent our sponsorship spousal package in October and it was returned because we missed some signatures. We sent it back in November and it's already almost February and we haven't recieved an email or mail with a response from inmigration. I had to extend my visitor visa because the last day of my 6 months was in January 1st. I sent the extension application and I am worried because I haven't received response from any of those packages I sent (extension and sponsorship).
Is it normal that it takes that long?
The first time I sent the sponsorship package they responded and sent it back quick but the second time they haven't sent us anything to know they got it.

Are you able to call them and check that they received it? Are you able to check status online?

Unfortunately, yes, it is now pretty normal to take that long. AOR1's can now take 2 - 3 months. Did you send it by courier so that it was signed for? At least that way you will know for certain they have definitely received it.

That will have been because the first thing they do is a quick 'completeness check', which you failed first time, so it was rejected. I think you should consider it a good sign that they have now had it this long and it has not been returned, probably means it has got through the completeness check this time.

Get settled in for a long wait (about 1 year) with long periods where you will hear nothing, then a flurry of communications all in about the final 4 weeks - all pretty normal.

All what I have is a track number from Canada Post that says they got it but I haven't recieved any email from them so when I call they ask me if I have a number and I don't. So far I have been just waiting and waiting to get a response from them that they are processing or something. Also I dont know how to check my status becaude of the same, I sent the package but they haven't come back to me.
