I have to seprate SIN no.'s - does it affect tax filing.

Hi, I am using ufile and cannot get through the system, it shows that the information sent to the Canada Revenue Agency doesn't match the information currently on record. The tax that I was attempting to file was for pre-pr period, and during that time I had a different SIN number. Would this be a reason for all my troubles.

You shouldn't have two.

Is one the SIN starting with a "9", then you got a new SIN when you got your PR? If that is the reason, call up the CRA personal line, have the agent go into your file, they will take out the original SIN, then put in your permanent SIN
