Hello Folks, hope everyone is staying safe and Healthy.
I live in Mumbai. I and my family got the COPR on the 18th March 2020 and we slated to fly in April, but the travel restrictions were announced and there were no flights available. I am not sure till when the flights will be banned from India to Canada. Our Date of Landing mentioned on the COPR is 14th July 2020, and I am worried what happens if there are no flights till then. Any help/Advise will be very helpful.

There is no such thing as a date of landing in the COPR, this is printed once you've landed. What you're saying doesn't make sense.

You still have a while to land before you COPR expires in July. Would wait a while and see what happens. If by the end of May you see you won’t be able to travel apply for an extension.

Hi.. I am also sailing in the same boat. We had booked our tickets by first week of may. But with no other choice we cancelled it. Our copr expires by 10 july 2020, our parents and in-laws are not willing to send our family amidst covid 19. Even we wanted to move there once all these are over as it will be difficult for us to move in there with our child. Also, we cannot avail benefits till we receive our PR card. Its worrying too much and we couldn't decide anything further.

Unfortunately if you want to secure your PR you are going to have to do at least a soft landing sooner rather than later and Covid 19 will still be present in the world. As adults you will have to make decisions for the both of you and your child. Extensions are being given out if you can't travel by the time your COPR expires. The extensions are only allowing people to delay for a few months. PRs are supposed to land with enough money to support themselves without benefits for up to 6 months so not being able to qualify for benefits isn't an issue. If you have current employment it is probably a good idea to do a soft landing and return home until the economy is better.

Hey, I am also a COPR holder and my visa is granted from 20th Mar 2020. Am I eligible to fly because on cic.gc.ca I can see that people whose applications were approved before 18th or on 18th Mar 2020? Of course, my application was approved before that it is nowhere on the docs when my application was approved. All I have is a Passport request letter received on 16th Mar 2020. Please help.
